About the Authors
TRACY FOSTER, Corunna Public Schools’ 2015–2016 Teacher of the Year and Western Michigan Universities 2017 Innovative Educator of the Year, has over 23 years of experience teaching early childhood, elementary and middle school children. She holds multiple degrees in education from Western Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University and is an Early Childhood Literacy Specialist. Tracy’s passion is instilling confidence in her students to be the best they can be and to present constant learning opportunities for them to DREAM BIG. Tracy and her husband, Dan, have a son, Nathan, and two daughters, Felicia and Mya.

SHANNON COOPER-TOMA has served over 20 years in public education. She holds multiple education degrees from Michigan State University and Saginaw Valley State University. Throughout her career, Shannon has served on numerous educational committees and has presented for many organizations, including the Bureau of Education and Research (BER), Michigan Reading Association (MRA), and Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association (MEMPSPA). Shannon and her husband, Rod, reside in Chesaning with their adorable Chihuahua, Rocko.
